When a question is submitted through your product page and you submit an answer to a user, they will always be notified and have a path to clearly see that answer and convert to a sale. You may notice though that the question may not show up on your product page for other visitors immediately. This could be for a variety of reasons, but here are the most common.
If you have any questions about the behaviour of your widget or the display of questions, we encourage you to post your question and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
- Publishing Status of Questions: If you've set your site to keep questions private until they're reviewed and answered by your team, then the questions won't display until your team has reviewed and published them.
- List Preferences: If you've set your list preferences to show popular questions, or only answered questions, or another variety of criteria that is determining what types of questions should show up on your feed...then that may explain why you're not seeing the questions show up immediately on your product page.
- Widget Caching: As Answerbase determines what questions should be showing on your widget based on your list preferences....even if other questions fulfill that criteria....there is a cache on the widget to ensure that your page performance is optimized. This cache can last for up to an hour for a site that is out of the trial period.
