Answerbase builds and maintains a sitemap for all of the content generated and displayed within your knowledge base, ensuring search engines can index all of that content and ensure your content is being distributed in their search results.
NOTE: If you're going to be putting your knowledge base on a subdomain or subdirectory within your site, we recommend you do this first...and then you can take this step afterwards to ensure that Google, Bing, and any other search engines are able to efficiently get updated on all of your available content. For any help with setting up a subdirectory or subdomain for your Answerbase knowledge base, click here for our instructions.
Once you're ready to add your sitemap to Google Search Console.....in your Answerbase Administration Portal, you can go under "System Settings > SEO > Sitemap & Verification (tab)" to find the location of your sitemap and the ability to verify. This allows you to add that sitemap to Google Search Console and other services for indexing. If you already have a "Domain Property" added and identified within Google Search Console, you can go into that Domain Property and then under "Sitemaps" (in the left nav) you can add our sitemap there. If you don't, you can add a new property and submit it through that process.
The sitemap is updated consistently as more content is added to your knowledge base and consistent with the SEO settings you manage within your Answerbase Administration Portal. If you have any questions please reach out to our team and we can help set this up.
