If you've created a draft for an answer, you can see those drafts by going into the question you were answering...and then on the bottom of the page where answers are submitted....you'll see your drafts on the right side. See example here:
You can see your drafts there, select the one you'd like to work from...and that answer will appear in the text editor to the left.
