Your Answerbase knowledge base is creating landing pages for each Q&A thread...just like Amazon and other populat Q&A sites as you can see an example here:
Those pages are important so as you create quality answers to product questions, they are indexed by Google and have performed well to drive more traffic and conversions to your site. Most customers prefer those landing pages be shown within a subdirectory of their site. If you'd like to enable it so that is the case for your Shopify site, within your Administration Dashboard go to "Customization > Domain Name" and you'll see an option to enable your Shopify Proxy. That will ensure that your Q&A content will build up under a subdirectory on your site. Follow these steps:
1) Go to Answerbase Domain Settings
within your Administration Dashboard go to "Customization > Domain Name" as you see here:
2) Enable the Shopify Proxy
and within that you'll see an option to enable your Shopify Proxy as seen here:
3) You should be done!
Once you enable...you should see the subdirectory reflecting similar to this:
If you click into that....you'll see the Q&A knowledge base that will grow with all your valuable Q&A content. If you're posting great answers to your customer questions that are actually providing value to the web with your team's original experience and expertise (doesn't need to be long, just needs to be good original content)....we've seen that content thrive through Google's core updates. Look at what those landing pages did during Google's August Core Update and we've see this sustain.
So.....the present and future of content marketing and content for SEO....is just sharing valuable information that satisfies customer's actual information needs...and search engines reward both the content and the site producing it. Let us know if you have any questions and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
