It's really just a matter of what you prefer. If you use Basic registration, of course you may convert a bit more since that is less time spent by the user than filling out more complete profile information, but your choice should be what makes the most sense for your audience. For e-commerce sites or support-related sites, we would probably recommend just having Basic Registration enabled because they just need to be able to receive a response.
