Under your ecommerce module settings, you'll notice a Offering Reference field. This is how your ecommerce offering will be referenced in general across the site. If you're selling products, you would just keep this as "Product". If you're selling services, you may want to define this as "Services". If you're selling bookings on Hotels, you may choose to title this "Hotels"
For example, if you keep the field defined as "Product"...then when your users will see a navigation option on the right to "Browse by Product". If you defined that field as "Service", then the navigation title would be "Browse by Service". Another example is when your users ask a question, when asking a question they'll have the option to "Select Product" from a dropdown to let you know what offering they're asking about. If you were to have defined it as "Service", then that dropdown would instruct the user to "Browse by Service"
