There are several ways that users can post "anonymous questions" so that their identity is not revealed.
Registered Users
If you make users register and create an account in order to engage with your Answerbase, then you will know who they are as administrators of the platform but other users don't need to know the identify of the person posting. This can be accomplished in a couple different ways:
Guest Postings
Some sites don't want users to register in order to ask new questions, so there is an option for users to allow for "Guest Posts"...where when a user asks a question they will only be asked to provide their email address during the posting process and that will create an "unclaimed" account associated with that email address. In these cases, users can post many questions using that same email address without ever having to log into the platform. In these cases, the user is just recognized as a "Guest" on the platform and their identity remains anonymous on the knowledge base.

- Disable User Profiles: Under "System Settings > General Settings" you'll see an option to disable community features which would disable user profiles and any mention of who has posted the question when appearing on the knowledge base.
- Anonymous Profiles: If you allow your users to maintain a profile where they have a choice to select a username and display name, just as with Social Media platforms like Twitter, the user is not obligated to identify who they are and they can create a random username and display name...and therefor remain anonymous while still being able to engage on the platform. Other users would still be able to see the user's profile and the engagement that user has managed, but if they don't have anything within their profile that points to who they are...they will be acting anonymously on the platform.
