Your "Total Indexable Questions" are the Q&A's that you've posted that have the "index" meta data enabled for that question. For each question on your site...when you view that question in your administration dashboard you'll see in the "Settings" tab the ability to adjust whether the page will be "index" or "noindex"....as seen here:

Automated Settings of What Gets Indexed or Not Indexed
If you're noticing that only a percentage of your published Q&A's are "Indexable", it's likely due to our default "Supplementary Content" settings which we don't recommend you change (see the recommended settings below) Most of the time your "Indexable Questions" will be determined by the quality and originality of what you're posting, where we have default settings that many times save customers from having their Q&A content be flagged by Google as not being a useful section of their site. We don't recommend changing our default settings which are these:

You should never publish anything that you don't' find useful to future customers....but even if you are there are certain thresholds of originality and quality that we've seen be considerations and they've proven to be valuable so we don't recommend changing those defaults (or if you're a legacy customers before we had these settings in place, we recommend considering enabling them). If your content falls below those thresholds, the platform will automatically mark them as "noindex" based on the above default settings and that is why you may see a difference between the number of published Q&A's vs what is Indexable.
What to Do if "Total Indexable Questions" is Low?
We don't recommend you change our default settings, we recommend that you invest a bit more into your answers. Just know that Google is rewarding and prioritizing content that demonstrates actual expertise (not solely AI generated) and there is a threshold of quality where it just doesn't appear that you've added your own "two cents" that demonstrate real experience (our default is less than 40 words, given Google's "featured snippet" is between 40-60 words). So, we don't recommend changing your default settings....but rather just make adjustments to how you approach answering questions. We've seen each FAQ pair drive up to 88 visitors per year.....so understand that when you answer a question, you're standing in front of a small room of people on the planet with that question...and just spend a few minutes and to the best job in answering that question based on your actual experience. If you do that, what you'll find is your "Total Indexable Questions" will be quite a high percentage of your overall published Q&A's.....and your content should perform organically as well since Google and AI needs that experience to reflect in their results.
