We've seen the demand and performance of Ecommerce FAQs explode over the last couple years, and enjoy being able to communicate about what we've seen across our customer base. We've seen this lift throughout Google's updates....but the incorporation of the "Helpful Content System" into Googles Core Ranking Systems was special....and you can see it very clearly in this case.
See how this customer goes from about 2-3% of their organic traffic to over 20% of their organic traffic after Google's March 2024 Core Update when they made the "Helpful Content System" part of their Core Ranking Systems:

Keep in mind this is a seasonal business with their peaks during the summer and dips during the winter (which is natural for them)....but see after March of 2024 and how it grew notably.....and then how it's taken off since then as we approach their peak season in 2025.
Let's Talk Percentages of Their Organic TrafficSo....take a look at what the Ecommerce FAQs has looked like in the last 3 months of activity:

and now let's look at ALL of their activity on their site (which includes Q&A but also their product pages, collections pages, etc.).....see here:

So those are their Google Search Console charts and you can see the dates they apply to....let's do some math now.
What Percentage of Organic Traffic is the FAQ Content?So....what this breaks down to is this:
- Q&A Content: 7,490 organic clicks
- Total Organic Clicks: 31,700 organic clicks
- Percentage of Organic Clicks to Q&A Content: 23.6%
That's right.....23.6% of their organic traffic comes from the Q&A content.
Higher Position and Higher CTRAlso notice that the position and the click-through rate of the Q&A content is both better than the rest of their site.
ConclusionFor customers who have created great content that is actually providing value for the planet, servicing real people with great answers.....we've seen over time that the organic traffic to that content is somewhere between 10% to 50%. We're seeing more examples of between 20% to 50% of organic traffic. The bottom line is, Google needs good information, AI needs good information....and they need to source those experiences from real people if it's not been communicated yet. If you communicate that great information on your site, you will be rewarded over time.
