Currently we only support disabling that for enterprise clients. For the basic/professional/business plans, the "out of the box" setting is to have details enabled, but it is in fact optional, so users aren't required to put any details in.
Although, if you have CSS/JavaScript expertise, since the field itself is not required on the programming side....it is likely you can use CSS/Javascript to hide the containing DIV and perhaps even expand/contract. In your "Customization" section of your admin site, you can see an area to insert CSS and then in your "Content Areas" section you could insert any complimentary JavaScript code you may want to use for advanced controls over the elements.
