You may notice that only a smaller percentage of your products that you have published reflect in your Google Search Console reports....see this example of a customer who has 12K products but only about a thousand of them reflect in merchant listings.
We've seen several examples that even when you're showing all green as "valid" merchant listings....you can dramatically increase your visibility to ensure more of your products seen with some relatively quick changes (which we can help you with)....see how this customer 63X'd (that's right, from 1900 valid to over 121K valid!!!) their visibility after meeting with us.
The merchant went from less than 2K products being seen to over 6K within just one day!
And it doesn't seem that it's "only a sample size" (as noted above which was suggested by other "experts" in the space)....we've seen those numbers grow into the tens of thousands or even over 100K as you can see here:
So...if it were only a sample...we wouldn't expect to see that kind of recovery on those sites. If you're having issues with this, we can help guide you on how to achieve a recovery.....see another recovery here:
....so we'd be happy to schedule a call with you to help do an audit in order to make sure your house is in order to ensure you're eligible for those results. You can Schedule a Call Here.
Just a note....we've talked to a ton of Agencies and SEO experts out there as well as what SEO tools have to say about it...and unfortunately most of them aren't able to answer the question (if you'd like some help, we recommend scheduling a call and we can verify what your issue is and connect you with one of our agency partners who can relatively quickly get things fixed for you...see charts below on recoveries). One potential explanation for this that we've seen floated out there is that Google has communicated that some reports may only be a sample which is intended to look at a large volume of your urls (not all of them) and just be able to highlight if there are any issues with your listings that it's sampled. Google didn't specifically call out "Merchant Listings" as a category they do this with...but they do this with items under "Experience" and "Enhancements".....as they communicate here in their documentation on how to read Google Search Console reports.
But......Answerbase works with lots of Ecommerce Merchants and has seen customers that are showing well and have continued to grow traffic as "Popular Products" tables have started taking over the #1 page...that customers with 100% of their products represented in that report have thrived as those tables are more visible...and have also seen customers who have suffered in 2024 with their visibility/traffic only have a small percentage of their products within that Merchant Listings reports. Also, as you can see in the examples above....jumping from 1900 valid products to over 121K valid merchant listings doesn't appear to be a "representative sample".....so we do encourage you to look into this further.
